A Travelog to Pulau Langkawi 2018 -Mimie-

A Journey to Pulau Langkawi.

A total of 27 Unisel's student have been traveled to Pulau Langkawi from 21 to 23 December 2018. We boarded the Unisel bus to reach the Kuala Perlis Jetty.

It’s definitely not an overstatement to say that Langkawi is a tropical paradise of Malaysia. Considered to be the jewel of Malay tourism, this destination is home to 99 different large and small islands. About 30km west of the mainland, Langkawi is not only well-known for its potential in island tourism but also loved for its primeval forest system and abundance of plant and animal species.

The weather in Langkawi is quite similar to southern Vietnam, with a clear division of rainy season and dry season. The rainy season lasts from June to November with sudden rains, but does not last long. Therefore, during 12 months of year, you can always come here to visit, discover.

The first destination that we are heading is Mount Machincang for cable car riding. We join an adventurous explorace host by our beloved lecturer, Sir Khalil. It is really a fun yet exhausted moment in our life! ❤

A happy face when everything is done! Hehe.

The second day, we are all going for Island Hopping.

Island Hopping is a must do activity in Langkawi! They will take you to 3 islands by boat for 4hours.

Sea breeze. So much love with this feelings. Away from hectic city life and works, enjoy strong wind and sea water smell. Love! Love! Love!

And yeah .. first place of our Island Hopping is Pulau Beras Basah. We spent about 1 hour in here. It was delightfully warm and despite the swelling number of tourists, it still felt perfectly isolated. However by the time we left more boats were showing up so it was a good time to hop back on our boat and head to our next stop.

The legendary Tasik Dayang Bunting.

Next up was the legendary Tasik Dayang Bunting. This is Langkawi’s largest freshwater lake and, when passing by the island, it resembles the outline of a pregnant lady lying on her back. The island is shrouded in mystery, as the lake is thought to possess mythical powers. Women are believed to have become pregnant from drinking the water. (Ikhtiar-not to believe it 100%)

Eagle feeding at Pulau Singa Besar.

Most boat tours will include a stop for wild eagle viewing, where the captain will entice circling eagles with raw pieces of chicken so you get a closer vantage.

Our "captain" for Island Hopping tourist guide. Huhu

We back to our hotel at Pekan Kuah with full of joy.

The third day is a time to check out, and yes the last stop ofcourse chocolate hunting at Haji Ismail Group (HIG).

Till we meet again, Langkawi ........ ❤

xoxo -Mimieee-
