Nurini Kssim the new CEO for Bernama.




KUALA LUMPUR: Nurini Kassim is appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Malaysian National News Agency (BERNAMA) effective January 1, 2019.

The appointment was announced by the Minister of Communications and Multimedia, Gobind Singh Deo through a media statement, here today.

Nurini, who has been appointed for two years, replaced Datuk Zulkefli Salleh who expired on October 3 last year.

"Nurini has 20 years of extensive experience in management from various industries including government institutions, financial regulation, information technology and public relations and corporate affairs.

Nurini, 55, holds an MBA from University of Hull, United Kingdom, as Head of Corporate Affairs Department of Corporate Employees Provident Fund since October 2015.

She has 15 years experience in the Securities Commission Malaysia since August 2000 headed by various divisions including the Corporate Affairs Department, the Secretariat of the Capital Market Development Fund, the Capital Market Promotion Unit and the Islamic Capital Market Development Project Unit.

Nurini also served in multinational technology companies including marketing managers at Sapura Systems Malaysia from 1994 to 1997 and as a project consultant at Hewlett-Packard Sales Malaysia from 1990 to 1994.
