51 Illegal Immigrants arrested.



SETIU: A total of 51 illegal immigrants were detained in Integrated Operations involving the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and the Immigration Department at two separate locations around the city of Kuala Terengganu, beginning late last night.
In operations launched from 12 midnight to 5 am, 439 foreign workers undergo a two-location documentation at the Kuala Terengganu City Center (KTCC) and the construction site of Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin University Hospital.
Terengganu police deputy chief Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid said based on the inspection of all 51 foreign workers detained were detected in various offenses under the Immigration Act.
"Of the total number of foreign workers detained, 24 of them are Myanmar citizens, 21 Indonesians, five Bangladeshis and a Pakistani
"They are now detained by Immigration for further investigation before the follow-up action is taken," he said when met after Narcotics Narcotics Cases (JSJN) Narcotics Disposal Program Terengganu, here today.
The five-hour operation involved 81 officers and members of the two agencies.
