SHAH ALAM: Semenyih State Assemblyman, Bakhtiar Mohd Nor, 57, died at the Kajang Hospital at 4.45am today due to a heart attack.
Political secretary to Selangor Menteri Besar, Borhan Aman Shah, said the remains of the deceased will be taken home to the family at Batu 19, Jalan Sungai Lalang, Semenyih, and will be served after Friday prayers at Kampung Pasir, Semenyih Mosque.
"Condolences to the late Bakhtiar's family, I pray that the spirit of Allah will be blessed with the blessings of Allah SWT and placed among the righteous, Al Fatihah," he said.
The body will then be buried at Kampung Pasir Cemetery.
Bakhtiar Mohd Noor, from the United Native Party of Malaysia (UNITED), was elected a representative of the people in Semenyih for eight months after defeating incumbent Datuk Johan Abd Aziz from Barisan Nasional (BN) in the 14th General Election (GE-14) last year with a majority of 8,964 votes.
