Kinokuniya - Kavinmullai Naguchete

Kinokuniya, a renowned international bookshop chain from Japan, placed in Suria KLCC shopping mall (part of the Petronas Twin Towers Complex) at its top floor, Malaysia. It is Malaysia’s largest and well-known book store for its collection of Asian books and magazines plus DVDs and stationary.
Kinokuniya Bookstore was founded in January 1927 at the Shinjuku district of Tokyo by former president Moichi Tanabe. In February 1969, the first overseas store opened in San Francisco. The goal was to provide Japanese living in the U.S. with books and magazines from home and introduce Japanese culture to the local community. Kinokuniya ventured into the Asia-Pasific market when it opened its first store in Singapore and followed by Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia and Dubai. And now there are 27 overseas stores by now all over the world.
Kinokuniya Book Store, Suria KLCC

This two floors book store is definitely bigger than what you see from the outside, there’s even a big Japanese books and magazines section hidden in there. Apart from the café upstairs where you can chill and have some cakes and tea, there’s another section by the window where you can sit down and read some books. There you would overlook the view of the KLCC park.
The book selection here is tough to beat. There are over 300,000 titles in the store with different languages like Chinese, English, Japanese and Malay. If you are looking for an important title, this would be the place I would recommend starting your search. Besides that, they have a special section strictly cater to Japanese books, magazines and literatures which is excellent for those Japanese expatriates and people with strong interests in Japanese culture.

How agriculture helps in the development of Malaysia’s Economy? - Kavinmullai Naguchete

Agriculture is the cultivation and breeding of animals and plants to provide food, fiber, medicinal plant, sand other products to sustain and enhance life. Agriculture was the key development in the rise of sedentary human civilization, whereby farming of domesticated species created food surpluses that enabled people to live in cities. China has the largest agricultural output of any country.

Agriculture plays a vital role in a country’s economic growth. It has already made a significant contribution to the economic prosperity of advanced countries and its role in the economic development of less developed countries is of vital importance. In other words, where per capita real income is low, emphasis is being laid on agriculture and other primary industries.

The history of England is clear evidence that Agricultural Revolution preceded the Industrial Revolution there. In U.S.A. and Japan, also agricultural development has helped to a greater extent in the process of their industrialization. Similarly, various under-developed countries of the world engaged in the process of economic development have by now learnt the limitations of putting over-emphasis on industrialization as a means to attain higher per capita real income. Thus industrial and agricultural developments are not alternatives but are complementary and are mutually supporting with respect to both inputs and outputs.

It is seen that increased agricultural output and productivity tend to contribute substantially to an overall economic development of the country, it will be rational and appropriate to place greater emphasis on further development of the agricultural sector.

Agriculture in Malaysia makes up twelve percent of the nation's GDP. Sixteen percent of the population of Malaysia is employed through some sort of agriculture. Large-scale plantations were established by the British. These plantations opened opportunity for new crops such as rubber (1876), palm oil (1917), and cocoa (1950). A number of crops are grown for domestic purpose such as bananas, coconuts, durian, pineapples, rice and rambutan. According to the latest official data from 2015, palm oil made up 46.9 per cent of agriculture’s contribution to GDP, followed by other (17.7 per cent), livestock (10.7 per cent), fishing (10.7 per cent), rubber (7.2 per cent) and forestry and logging (6.9 per cent).

And when it comes to palm oil, palm oil production is vital for the economy of Malaysia, which is the world’s second-largest producer of the commodity after Indonesia. The country's palm oil industry produces about 90 million tone of lignocellulosic biomass, including empty fruit bunches, oil palm trunks, and oil palm fronds, as well as palm oil mill effluent (POME). In 2010, in response to concerns about social and environmental impact of palm oil, the Malaysian Government pledged to limit palm oil plantation expansion by retaining at least half of the nation's land as forest cover. The first commercial palm oil cultivation was done in Selangor in 1917 at Tennamaran Estate. In the early stage of development, the government focused on increasing its palm oil output by rapidly increasing the land area for the palm oil cultivation.

Pak Hang VS Mak Hang - Kavinmullai Naguchete

This is a script that I wrote for my Graphic Design class.

This theatre show is about two people – a man and a woman – interviewing civilians’ thoughts on love and the opposite sex. After a mixture of answers, they cease their questions and the credits roll. The credits end as a boy, after being rejected by his girlfriend, commits suicide by jumping onto a passing car. Hangan walks off disturbed to his girlfriend Anggun’s office. there, he is  criticized by her for his antics with other women and his lack of passion for their love. She walks off, ending their relationship.
Hanggan is then shown as a civil engineer in Jakarta, still playful and fun-loving. Accepting a request from his manager to go on a business trip to Melbourne, he bids farewell to his friends. On the plane, he encounters a playful, flirtatious girl, Alina, whom he sits next to during the flight. After spending hours together, they become good friends and exchange details. However, by coincidence, Alina is travelling to Melbourne to work in the same company as Anggun, who is settled there. Together they seem to conveniently bump into Hanggan at every corner, prompting an unwelcome reunion for Hanggan and Anggun.
While Alina takes a liking to Hanggan, Anggun still ignores him, even though Hanggan has ambitious of getting back together. At a restaurant, Hanggan bumps into a fellow old  friend and explains his love for Anggun. The story then moves two years back for a flashback of events. Hanggan had met Anggun at a birthday party, where she played a prank on Hanggan and his friends. Taking a liking to her, Hanggan begins to follow Anggun intentionally, hoping for her to fall in love with him. Soon after this happens, she becomes more and more suspicious of Hanggan. This comes to a head when Hanggan acts as the boyfriend of his friend’s girlfriend, only for Anggun to get confused and mistake him. His reputation as a trusting boyfriend takes another turn for the worse when at a wedding, the bride gives him a kiss after he improvises a song.
As the pair have a love-hate relationship, the break-up beckons when Anggun sends her friend undercover to go flirt with Hanggan, however, he lies claiming he was at home ill, prompting Anggun to end their relationship. At the end of the flashback, a friend of Hanggan suggests to him that its more important to move on than think regretfully and Hanggan gets over his relationship with Anggun. However, finding out Alina’s love towards Hanggan becomes jealous and reinstates her love for Hanggan. However, finding out that Hanggan is no longer interested in her, she flees anonymously to Sydney.
At the end of the film, the male interviewer who appeared at the start questions Anggun on her decision to leave anonymously, however she refuses to answer. She then confirms that she met up with Alina recently and had found that she is married to Hanggan and had a child. She then walks away, claiming her future lies in her own hands.

Manifesto Pakatan Harapan (PH) pledges to scrap GST, PTPTN debts - Kavinmullai Naguchete

Five years ago, the DAP and PKR pledged in their manifesto to abolish the loan from the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) for wanting to provide free higher education for all public university students. However, DAP and PKR supporters' aspirations for repeal of PTPTN's repatriation have not been achieved because of its power, however, the populist pledge was dropped in the 14th General Election (GE-14) manifesto. The 14th General Election manifesto (GE-14) of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) does not offer the repeal of the debt of the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) as promised in the GE-13. On the other hand, the PH manifesto this time to continue with the PTPTN but the repayment period for the borrowers is extended until they reach a monthly income of RM4000 per month. ‘If they are going to implement such plan, it should be properly executed because you cannot expect fresh graduates to earn that much of salary at their beginning stage of working. If this happens, it will be beneficial for the students as it will reduce their financial burden’, said a student of a state government university. However, if the loan repeal proposal is implemented, it will affect the financial position of PTPTN and will negatively affect many young people who wish to pursue further education. The flexibility proposed by Pakatan Harapan has already been implemented by the government as PTPTN has given a lender to the borrower who has trouble paying. The assurance is consists of ten things PH will take within 100 days if it won the GE-14 announced at the 14th General Election Manifesto Launching. Other promises to be implemented within 100 days are to eliminate Goods and Services Tax (GST) and to control rising prices for basic goods; reintroducing petrol subsidies on a targeted basis as well as identifying FELDA settlers' debt that can be repealed. Pakatan Harapan wants to abolish GST and replace the old SST. Does Pakatan Harapan know what impact it has on the Malaysian economy? Now GST can give the government a revenue of RM44 billion (2017) but to vote for PRU14 Pakatan Harapan to abolish the GST with the old SST that only gives 1/4 billion to the government. Pakatan Harapan said they have taken the views of various academic members, civil society, economists, professionals and former civil servants and continue to say "our manifesto is practical and can be implemented to improve and build Malaysia". Pakatan Harapan must think for a moment whether the Malaysian economy is only dependent on oil palm exports and others. What will happen if our oil and commodities prices fall? The abolition of GST would increase the country’s debt. There are various percentages but in Malaysia we are only charged with six percent which is a more reasonable rate which also not burdensome economy and people. So it will be a controversial situation where some will agree and some will disagree with this plan of eliminating GST. As for me, it should be continued so that our country would not struggle in debt and the economy will be maintained.  If the country did not collect revenue, the government could not implement national programmes. As the Malaysian economy grows, the revenue will increase and the country can bear the expenditure. If we forgo the GST, then we will lose RM45 billion and even if we were to re-introduce the sales and service tax (SST), the collection will amount to RM18 billion, so how can we find the other RM27 billion?

Sharia-compliant clothing does not affect performance.

KUALA TERENGGANU Nov. 27 - Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman should not be upset by implementing the application of syariah-compliant because it is only limited to Muslim athletes representing the state.

State Youth, Sports and Non-Government Development Committee chairman Wan Sukairi Wan Abdullah said that such apparel contests proved to have undermined the athlete's performance, but they also generally did not mind to comply.

He said the move announced yesterday would begin with football players at all levels under the Terengganu State Football Association (PBSNT), also received positive immediate reactions from hockey and rugby teams.

Wan Sukairi was asked to comment on Syed Saddiq's statement that the state government would not disturb the athletes by respecting their sporting apparel choice, and the minister assured them to defend them.

Syed Saddiq via Facebook reportedly said defining the clothes that athletes should wear is a cause for concern because the future of sports such as gymnastics, swimming, and bodybuilding will be affected.

Wan Sukairi in the state assembly yesterday said the state government's policy of putting Islam as the main administrative pillar would try to cover all aspects, including sports.

Spotify to launch in India within six months.

LOS ANGELES: Recently Spotify announced that it’s launching in 13 new markets in the Middle East and North Africa, bringing its service to 78 markets in total, Variety has learned that a launch in India is expected as soon as the next six months and will offer an extended free trial period – longer than the 30 days of full-access Spotify offered in Vietnam and South Africa earlier this year.

According to Sweden’s Di Digital, plans to buy an Indian competitor have failed to materialise, so Spotify will enter the market of more than 1 billion on its own.

That Spotify is eyeing the region is hardly surprising. For years, the company has been making noises about launching in India and announced in March, just ahead of its public listing, that it has opened an office in Mumbai and hired 300 people.

Indeed, office bearers doing the ground work out of a space in the Bandra Kurla Complex business district have been buzzing about a launch that could come as soon as the next six months, according to local insiders.

Malaysia clinched the semi-final as Group A runner-up after a 3-0 win over Myanmar in the last leg of the group at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on Saturday.

The second semi-final match took place in Bangkok on 5 December.

Americans vote in midterms seen as referendum on Trump

Image result for 1. Americans vote in midterms seen as referendum on Trump

Washington: Americans go to the polls Tuesday in midterm elections framed by both parties as a referendum on Donald Trump's presidency and a battle for the soul of the nation.
"In a sense, I am on the ticket," Trump said at a rally late Monday. He also warned of "illegal voting," reviving unsubstantiated allegations he made after the 2016 elections.
Voters found that Democrats go into the vote with a 13-point advantage over Republicans on the question of who should control Congress, a slightly wider gap than shown in two other national polls released a day earlier. Lifted by overwhelming support among women,
Democrats had the backing of 55 percent of voters on who should control Congress, while 42 percent wanted Republicans to remain the majority party.  Republicans are considered likely to keep control of the Senate.

Corn kernel’s machine can generate triple income

The innovation of corn fruit scatter machine by the Department of Agricultural Engineering are believed can help the entrepreneur to gain triple income.

Food process based on corn fruit such as grits and corn cup can be easier with their machine said Mohamad Fiqri Shaffie, Deputy Director of Department of Agricultural Engineering.

He tells that the first corn machine in Malaysia was innovated from coconut grated machine with additional special blade to scatter the corn fruit.

“Before the machine was created, sellers that sell food based on corn fruit normally bought the frozen one or the ready-made one. It is more expensive.”

“But, with modal of RM350 to RM400 for the machine, now they can produce corn fruit freshly from the farmers within the price of 50 cents to RM1 compared to buying from the market with price of RM3 for each corn,” he add.

He was interviewed at the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agro-tourism show 2018(MAHA 2018) which placed at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang(MAEPS).

Resepi Cheese Cake 3 Bahan

Sumber facebook Nurul Ain Ridzwan

Bahan-bahan:

120g Tatura Cream Cheese
120g Susu Pekat Manis
3 Biji telur gred B

Cara-cara:

1. Pukul Cream Cheese Dan Susu Pekat

Mula-mula, pukul cream cheese dan susu pekat sampai berkrim dan tak berketul. Kalau nak kurang manis boleh kurangkan susu pekat ya.

Nak pukul gunakan mixer boleh, nak gunakan blender pun boleh.

2. Asingkan Telur Putih & Pukul

Seterusnya, asingkan telur putih dan telur kuning.

Ambil telur putih dan pukul sampai teksturnya berkrim (meringue).

3. Masukkan Telur Kuning Dalam Adunan Cream Cheese

Telur kuningnya pula jangan dibuang.

Pintu oven tu bukakan sedikit.

8. Topping

Akhir sekali, bolehlah letak topping ikut kegemaran anda. Makan saja pun dah sedap.
